U17 World Challenge Update

The USA picked up gold at the World U17 Hockey Challenge, which concluded last week in Timmins, Ontario. The Nationals went 6-0 and defeated Team Ontario, 2-1, in the final. Cole Bardreau was scoreless and had six penalty minutes.

Sweden picked up the bronze with a 5-2 win over Russia. Sweden went 4-2 in the tournament. Joakim Ryan scored a goal and had an assist, plus two penalty minutes.

Team Quebec finished in sixth, going 2-3. Philippe Hudon was scoreless and had four penalty minutes.

Absolutely. Add in Brisson, Ferlin, Gotovets, and Iles and that's a good group with international exposure.

I do wish the US could get two teams in the U17 Challenge (East, West split).
