Saturday & Sunday Wrap

Alberni Valley and Nanaimo wrapped up their regular season BCHL play with games on Saturday and Sunday. Alberni split their two games, losing 7-4 to Burnaby and then beating Powell River, 4-3. Chris Moulson scored two goals in the loss on Saturday, then went scoreless on Sunday.

Alberni finished the season 17-39-1-3 and did not make the playoffs.

Nanaimo also split their last two games. The Clippers won a 3-2 game against Quesnel, and then fell to Merritt, 5-4. Michael Garman was held out of both games.

Nanaimo finished their regular season as the Coastal Conference champs and received a bye in the opening round of the playoffs. The Clips currently have a 42-14-0-4 record and will next play on March 7.

In Alberta, Jordan Kary scored a hat trick to help Spruce Grove defeat St. Albert's, 7-3, on Saturday. Jordan was named the game's 2nd-Star for his effort.

The Saints wrap up their regular season on Tuesday against Drayton Valley.

Waywayseecappo rolled to two big wins in Mantiboa. The Wolverines beat Dauphin, 7-3, as Sean Collins scored two goals and added a helper. On Sunday, Sean scored two goals and added three assists to help the Wolves to a 9-2 win over Neepawa.

Wayway concludes their regular season on Tuesday against Dauphin.

In the USHL, Indiana defeated Cedar Rapids, 6-3, on Saturday. Locke Jillson went scoreless for the Ice, while Vince Mihalek did not play for the RoughRiders.

Cedar Rapids will host Green Bay on Tuesday. Indy will travel to Sioux Falls on Friday.

Keir Ross went scoreless for Omaha in their 8-2 win over Des Moines. Keir did go +4 on the night and continues to lead the league in +/-.

The Lancers will be on the road to Sioux City on Friday.

Binghamton finished their regular season on Saturday, dropping a 5-4 game to Laconia in overtime. Kevin Cole did not play for the Sens.

The Sens finished with a record of 14-23-0-7.
