Friday Recap

Starting in British Columbia, Alberni Valley came back from a two-goal deficit by scoring three unanswered goals to beat Cowichan Valley, 3-2. Chris Moulson had an assist on each Bulldog goal.

Alberni travels to Burnaby for a game on Saturday.

Nanaimo defeated Prince George, 3-2. Michael Garman did not play and will reportedly be held out until the playoffs.

The Clippers stay on the road and play Quesnel on Saturday.

In Alberta, Spruce Grove moved into third place in the North Division with a 4-2 win over Bonneyville. Jordan Kary went scoreless for the Saints.

Spruce Grove visits St. Albert on Saturday.

In the USHL, Indiana and Omaha each extended their divisional leads with wins over their nearest competitors. The Ice defeated Cedar Rapids, 2-1, and now lead the RoughRiders by 11 points. Locke Jillson picked up his first point since joining Indy as he had an assist on the game-winning goal. Vince Mihalek did not play for Cedar Rapids.

The two teams meet again on Saturday in Indianapolis.

Omaha, meanwhile, defeated Sioux City, 3-2, to push their lead over the Musketeers to 19 points. Keir Ross went scoreless for the Lancers.

Omaha will travel to Des Moines on Saturday.

In Atlantic play, Binghamton dropped a 3-2 decision to Laconia. Kevin Cole did not play for the Sens.

The two teams will play again on Saturday, which will be the fourth game in four days for Binghamton.

In Prep play, Cushing's game against Holderness was cancelled due to the weather. The Penguins are scheduled to play Northwood on Saturday.

Round two of the playoffs kicked off in Ontario. St. Michael's and Stouffville each won their opening game. The Buzzers defeated Toronto, 8-2. Nick D'Agostino added a helper for St. Mike's, while Erik Axell did not play.

Game 2 is at Toronto on Sunday.

The Spirit surprised top-seeded Huntsville, 2-1. Jarred Seymour went scoreless on the evening.

Game 2 is at Stouffville on Sunday.
