Friday & Saturday Updates

Cushing dropped a 1-0 decision to Exeter on Saturday. Sean Whitney just missed tying the game late in the 3rd period when his powerplay shot hit the post.

Cushing will face the Hill School on Friday in the Lawrence/Groton tournament.

Kevin Cole went scoreless as Binghamton was swept in their series with Philadelphia. The Little Flyers won on Friday night, 5-4, and took the Saturday game, 3-1.

Binghamton will host the Northern Cyclones on Saturday.

Erik Axell and Nick D'Agostino each went scoreless in St. Mike's 5-1 win over Durham on Friday.

St. Mike's visits Pickering on Sunday.

Stouffville also picked up a win on Friday. The Spirit defeated Orangeville, 5-3, though Jarred Seymour went scoreless in the win.

The Spirit will host Newmarket on Thursday.

Omaha split its games this weekend. The Lancers fell, 3-2, to Sioux City on Friday, then shutout Lincoln, 2-0, on Saturday. Keir Ross was held without a point in the two games.

The Lancers will host Ohio on Friday.

Locke Jillson scored a goal in Des Moines' 3-2 loss to Green Bay on Saturday. Des Moines also lost to the Gamblers on Friday, when they dropped a 5-2 decision.

The Bucs will visit Tri-City on Friday.

Cedar Rapids won their weekend games with relative ease. The RoughRiders beat Sioux Falls, 5-2, on Friday, and then put Waterloo away, 6-2, on Saturday. Vince Mihalek went scoreless in the two games.

The 'Riders take on Green Bay this Friday in Cedar Rapids.

Nanaimo lost to Langley on Friday, 5-4. Michael Garman replaced Evan Smith early in the 3rd period after the Clippers fell behind, 5-1. Michael stopped his only shot as the Clippers' comeback fell short.

Nanaimo will host Penticton on Sunday.

Chris Moulson was held scoreless in Alberni Valley's 7-3 loss to Lanlgey on Saturday.

The Bulldogs are at home against Burnaby on Sunday.
