Weekend Wrap

Nanaimo played 3 games last weekend and came away with 2 wins and an overtime loss. Nanaimo kicked off Friday with a road win against Alberni Valley, 4-2. The Clippers then returned home to face Langley and Surrey, falling to the Chiefs 5-4 in overtime before closing out the weekend by outracing the Eagles 7-5. Mike Devin had 4 assists on the weekend, while brother Joe went scoreless.

Michael Garman didn't play as he continues to nurse an unspecified injury suffered in practice.

The Clippers go on the road this weekend for 3 straight games. They begin on Thursday against Quesnel and then move on to Prince George and Williams Lake.


Sudbury split their 2 games this past weekend, beating Manitoulin 3-2 on Friday and then losing to North Bay 6-3 on Sunday. Jacob Johnston went scoreless in the win, then scored a goal and picked up an assist in the loss to the Skyhawks.

Sudbury is home against the Soo Thunderbirds on Wednesday.
