Weekend Update

Nanaimo ran aground this weekend as they were swept in their 3 games, losing a home-and-home to Cowichan Valley and a Sunday contest to Burnaby. Michael Garman played the first 2 games against the Capitals and gave up 3 goals in each game while stopping 14 shots on Friday and 19 on Saturday. Joe Devin picked up a goal and an assist on the weekend, while brother Mike was held without a point.

The Clippers, whose lead is now 7 points over Cowichan Valley in the Coastal Conference, play at home on Friday against Alberni Valley and then visit Victoria on Saturday.


Patrick Kennedy remains out of the lineup for St. Thomas.


Jacob Johnston picked up 2 assists in Sudbury's 13-2 win over Manitoulin on Wednesday. In the Junior Wolves other game, Jacob was held scoreless as Sudbury defeated the Soo Thunderbirds, 3-2, on Saturday.

Sudbury is home against Blind River on Wednesday.
