Somewhat Quiet on the Western Ice

Ok, how quiet can it really be when at the end of the weekend Salmon Arm leads Penticton by two points in the Interior Division and Alberni Valley leads Nanaimo by two in the Island Division with 4 games to play? The weekend began with Nanaimo picking up two points on Alberni Valley when the Clippers defeated Trail 3-2, while the Bulldogs fell to Victoria 3-2. Also on Friday, Salmon Arm lost to Vernon 5-4. Colin Greening, Joe Scali, and Brendon Nash each went pointless in their respective games on the weekend's opening night.

On Saturday, things began to heat up as Nanaimo beat Penticton 4-2, with Colin picking up the game's 1st-Star for his one goal and two assist night. Alberni Valley meanwhile kept their lead over the Clippers as the Bulldogs beat Cowichan Valley 7-5, with Joe picking up the game's 2nd-Star for his one goal and three assist game.

The weekend concluded with Nanaimo falling to Vernon 5-2 and Salmon Arm beating up on Prince George 10-1. Colin and Brendon each picked up an assist in their game.

This weekend is a schedule-maker's dream as Alberni Valley and Nanaimo face each other in a home-and-home series, and Salmon Arm and Penticton gets to do the same.

For the season the scoring lines for our BCHLers look like this:
Colin: 52 games - 26 goals - 35 assists - 61 points
Joe: 39 - 21 - 22 - 43
Brendon 48 - 8 - 33 - 41
