Weekend Recap: 2006 Class


After a successful sojurn helping his Viking Cup mates to a Bronze medal, Tony Romano will rejoin his NY Bobcats team this weekend.

For the season: 35 games, 47 goals, 41 assists, and 88 points (includes tournament games)


Colin Greening was awarded the 3rd star in Saturday's game, picking up the Clippers' first goal in what turned out to be a 2-1 win over Surrey. In his other 2 games last week, Colin managed to pick up another assist, though he went pointless in Salmon Arm's 5-4 win in OT on Friday.

Brendon Nash picked up an assist in the Silverbacks' OT win over Nanaimo, to go along with his 2 assists on Wednesday night.

According to a post on elynah.com Joe Scali will be out until later this month with a knee injury. Joe was listed, however, as playing in Friday night's game for Alberni Valley.

Blake Gallagher was caught working on his tan in northern Saskatchewan this weekend as the Notre Dame Hounds continued their break. As a reward for his much deserved rest, Blake was named an SJHL All-Star for the upcoming game in Humboldt in mid-January.

For the season: 40-22-15-37 (includes games played for the AAA Hounds)


Justin Milo also enjoyed considerable success in the Viking Cup, matching his future Big Red mate with 8 points (4-4) in the 6 game tournament.
