An Early Look At The Draft

NHL Central Scouting offered an early look at some of the prospects for the 2011 draft. This list is comprised of U.S. scholastic and Canadian junior provincial league players, so it'll grow by the mid-term release as U.S. junior league and NTDP players are added.

Two future Big Red players were named to the early list: Philippe Hudon and Stephen Miller.

Philippe is a junior at Choate who is attempting to accelerate his graduation to this coming spring, as was reported by USHR when it announced his commitment in November, 2009. Philippe is rated an A-prospect, which means he could in the first two rounds of the draft. If Philippe succeeds in graduating this spring there's a good chance he'll be in Ithaca next fall.

Stephen has transferred to Nobles this year. Central Scouting lists Stephen as a B-rated prospects, meaning he could go in third to fifth rounds.

Congratulations to Philippe and Stephen.
