Shattuck Takes Detroit

Shattuck rolled into Detroit this past weekend and took on the Michigan Midget trinity of power. On Friday, the Sabres took care of Victory Honda, 3-1. On Saturday, Honeybaked went down, 6-3. Shattuck finished its trip with a 5-2 win over Little Caesars on Sunday. Kirill Gotovets scored a goal and picked up an assist to go with 12 penalty minutes.

Shattuck is off to Indiana this weekend for a series with Culver Prep.

Shatuck lost games in the Upper Midwest High School Elite League this fall in Minnesota to teams of high school players who do not practice together.

A lot of penalty minutes. Who does he think he is, Brendon Nash?

No team is invincible. By the end of the Elite League, teams other than Shattuck had played 24 games together. Putting a bunch of talented kids together for that long should make for some pretty good teams, and there were a few really good teams in that league.
