Junior Update

Westside fell to Penticton, 3-2 in overtime on Friday. Vince Mihalek went scoreless.

Westside picked up a 3-2 win over Salmon Arm on Saturday. Vince Mihalek had a helper for Westside.

The Warriors will host Quesnel on Thursday.

Cowichan Valley used a four-goal 3rd period to pull away from Alberni Valley on Saturday by a score of 7-3. Chris Moulson picked up an assist.

The Bulldogs visit Nanaimo on Sunday.

Camrose defeated Okotoks, 5-3 on Friday. The game was tied three times before the Kodiaks took the lead for good at 15:19 into the 3rd period. Rodger Craig went scoreless for the Oilers. Former Cornell blueliner Jacob Johnston, who leads Camrose in scoring, picked up a goal and an assist for the Kodiaks.

On Saturday, Okotoks bounced back to pick up a 6-2 win over Camrose. The Oilers scored four goals in the 2nd period to pull away from the Kodiaks in a game that featured 180 combined penalty minutes. Rodger Craig went scoreless for Okotoks. Jacob Johnston picked up another goal for Camrose.

The Oilers will host Brooks on Tuesday.

Oakville had a steady 6-3 win over Streetsville on Friday. Braden Birch had a helper for the Blades.

Oakville returns the game on Sunday, visiting Streetsville.

St. Michael's doubled-up Markham, 6-3 on Friday. The Buzzers exploded for four unanswered goals in less than eight minutes to begin the 3rd period. Erik Axell scored two goals, including the game-winner, and added two assists to pick up the game's 3rd-Star; Nick D'Agostino picked up two helpers for the winning team.

St. Mike's visits Toronto on Sunday.

Stouffville raced out to a 3-0 lead early in the 2nd period before things fell apart. Newmarket scored the game's final six goals and came away with a 6-3 win on Saturday. Jarred Seymour went scoreless for the Spirit.

Stouffville will host Hamilton on Thursday.
