Weekend Update

On Friday:

Westside scored the final three goals of the game to put away Merritt, 6-3. Vince Mihalek had an assist for the Warriors.

Alberni Valley scored two goals within 53 seconds of each other but could not hold off Cowichan Valley, losing 3-2. Chris Moulson was scoreless.

Notre Dames scored 55 seconds into the game, then it was all Humboldt as the Broncos skated to a 7-3 win. John Esposito was scoreless.

Oakville scored the final three goals of the game to defeat Vaughan, 5-3. Braden Birch scored a goal.

St. Michael's fell to Hamilton, 9-7. Erik Axell scored a goal and added two assists; Nick D'Agostino did not play.

College Charles-Lemoyne defeated Lac St-Louis, 5-2. Mathieu Brisson was scoreless.

On Saturday:

Westside swept its weekender with Merritt, 8-1. Vince Mihalek chipped in with a helper.

Victoria scored four first period goals and hung on for a 5-3 win over Alberni Valley. Chris Moulson picked up an assist for the Bulldogs.

Humboldt scored 23 seconds into the game and eased to an 8-2 win over Notre Dame. John Esposito scored one of the goals for the Hounds. Notre Dame will visit Nipawin on Friday.

Oakville got out to a 5-1 lead and then held on for a 5-3 win over Burlington. Braden Birch did not play.

On Sunday:

Westside went three for three on the weekend, edging Trail, 5-4. Vince Mihalek was scoreless. Westside will host Surrey on Wednesday.

Alberni salvaged its weekend with a 3-2 win over Nanaimo. Chris Moulson was scoreless. Alberni Valley will host Cowichan Valley on Friday.

Oakville lost for the first time in 10 games, losing to Bowmanville, 3-2. Braden Birch was scoreless. Oakville will visit Pickering on Wednesday.

Wellington scored six goals in the second period to defeat St. Mike's, 8-4. Erik Axell and Nick D'Agostino did not play for the Buzzers. St. Mike's will host Cobourg on Friday.

Charles-Lemoyne blanked Chateauguay, 4-0. Mathieu Brisson did not play. CCL will visit Jonquiere on Saturday.
