Weekend Recap

On Friday:

Oakville skated out to a 5-1 lead and cruised to a 7-3 win over Brampton. Braden Birch did not play.

St. Michael's scored 6 goals in the second period to blow open its game against Cobourg and defeated the Cougars, 9-4. Erik Axell was named the game's 2nd-Star after he scored three goals and added two assists. Nick D'Agostino also picked up two helpers for the Buzzers.

Alberni Valley dropped a 3-2 decision to Cowichan Valley. Chris Moulson picked up an assist for the Bulldogs.

Westside eased to a 7-1 win over Prince George. Vince Mihalek scored two goals. Westside will host Merritt on Friday.


On Saturday:

Cobourg bounced back from its Friday evening loss to pick up a 3-2 win over Stouffville. Jarred Seymour did not play.

Alberni lost in overtime to Nanaimo, 4-3. Chris Moulson was scoreless. The 'Dogs will host Cowichan Valley on Friday.


On Sunday:

Oakville won its seventh straight with a 5-0 win over Port Hope. Braden Birch did not play. The Blades will host Vaughan on Friday.

St. Michael's defeated Stouffville, 3-1, for its fifth straight win. Erik Axell added an assist, while Nick D'Agostino was scoreless. On Monday, St. Mike's visits Hamilton and Stouffville visits Cobourg.

Notre Dame fell to Kindersley, 3-2. John Esposito was scoreless. Notre Dames hosts Melfort on Monday.

Northwood ventured to Lynah Rink and won a 9-4 victory over the Buffalo Regals. Kevin Cole scored a goal and picked up an assist. Northwood plays Berkshire on Sunday.
