Catching Up

Starting in British Columbia, Westside fell to Penticton in overtime on Friday, 4-3. Vince Mihalek went scoreless for the Warriors.

On Saturday, Westside dropped its third in a row, losing to Vernon, 4-1. Vince Mihalek went scoreless for the Warriors. In Alberni, the Bulldogs dropped a 3-2 decision to Nanaimo in overtime. Chris Moulson went scoreless for Alberni Valley.

Alberni Valley visits Powell River on Sunday.
Westside is home against Langley on Friday.

In Ontario, Oakville skated to a 5-2 win over Mississauga on Friday. Braden Birch rejoined the Blades after his WJAC experience, but was scoreless on the night. Nick D'Agostino also returned from the WJAC and picked up an assist in St. Michael's 3-2 loss to Wellington on Friday. Erik Axell went scoreless for the Buzzers.

On Saturday, Oakville has its 10-game winning streak abruptly end when Georgetown whacked the Blades, 10-2. Braden Birch had a helper for Oakville.

On Sunday, Stouffville visits Toronto and St. Mike's visits Wellington.
Oakville will visit Vaughan on Monday.

In the Maritiimes, Jordan Escott assisted on Matthew Squires' goal early in the 3rd period to help send Amherst's game with Halifax into overtime. Amherst would pull out a 4-3 win on a shootout. Jordan was named the game's 1st-Star for his effort.

On Saturday, Amherst fell to Yarmouth, 4-3, in another shootout. Jordan Escott scored a goal for the Ramblers.

Amherst visits Truro on Sunday.
