Newfoundland Red

Chris Heisenberg has reported that Jordan Escott (6' 2", 165), a 1991-born centerman with the Amherst Ramblers (Maritime JHL) has committed to Cornell for 2010. Jordan, who hails from St John's, Newfoundland, is currently tied for second in scoring in the MJHL with 6 goals and 15 assists in 14 games, and has won one Player of the Week award. Last season, Jordan scored 12 goals and had 29 assists in 52 games for the Ramblers, and was named Rookie of the Month in February.

Jordan will be joining Braden Birch and Nick D'Agostino on Canada East in the upcoming World Junior A Challenge. Jordan also was a member of Team Atlantic in last season's World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

Jordan was named #4 on The Hockey News' 10/21 Hot List.
