In OJHL play (the league dropped Provincial from its name), Oakville raced out to a 5-0 lead after the first period and cruised to an 8-5 win over Whitby. Braden Birch went scoreless for the Blades.
Oakville will visit Vaughn on Monday.
Alberni Valley remained the only winless team in the BCHL after losing in overtime to Victoria, 4-3. Chris Moulson picked up an assist for the Bulldogs.
