Clippers Open Playoffs

Nanaimo opened their series against Powell River with two games this weekend. The Clippers shook the rust of their lengthy layoff with a 6-5 win over the Kings on Friday. Michael Garman, who hadn't played in three weeks due to an injury, struggled in his return as he gave up 5 goals on 26 shots before giving way to Evan Smith in the second period. On Saturday, Nanaimo picked up a 7-4 win. Michael stopped 27 shots for the win.

Game three is on Wednesday at Powell River.
