Saturday Update

Kevin Cole scored two goals and added an assist as Binghamton scored 6 goals against Boston. Unfortunately for Binghamton, however, the Bulldogs scored 7 times to beat the Junior Senators in overtime.

The two teams play again on Sunday in Chenago.

Locke Jillson picked up two assists, and was named the game's 3rd-Star, as the Buccaneers defeated Lincoln, 3-2, in the USHL. Omaha and Cedar Rapids also won their games on Saturday. The Lancers beat Green Bay, 5-2, with Keir Ross going scoreless in the win. Cedar Rapids beat Ohio, 3-1. Vince Mihalek did not play for the RoughRiders.

On Sunday, Omaha will play their third game in three days when they host Sioux City. Cedar Rapids and Des Moines will next play on Friday, The RoughRiders will host Ohio and the Bucs will play visiting Indiana.

Out west, Surrey shutout Alberni Valley, 6-0. Chris Moulson, along with the rest of the Bulldogs, obviously, went scoreless. Alberni will visit Langley on Sunday.

Also in the BCHL, Nanaimo bounced back in their return game with Cowichan Valley, defeating the Capitals, 6-4, to earn the weekend split. Neither Braden Birch nor Michael Garman played against the Caps. The Clippers will be at home on Wednesday against Powell River.
