Weekend Wrap

The Binghamton Junior Senators split their series with New Jersey this weekend. After losing their fifth straight on Saturday, 6-5, the Sens rebounded with a 4-1 win on Sunday. Kevin Cole picked up two points in the series with a goal on Saturday and an assist on Sunday.

Binghamton will host Washington on Saturday and Sunday in Chenango.

St. Michael's took sole possesion of first place in the OPJHL's South Division with a 5-3 win over Pickering on Sunday. Erik Axell and Nick D'Agostino both went scoreless in the Buzzers' win.

St. Mike's will visit Durham on Tuesday.

In the USHL, future Big Red teammates Locke Jillson and Keir Ross met on the ice for the first time this season in Des Moines. Keir had his three-game scoring streak end, but the Lancers defeated the host Buccaneers, 4-1. Locke was also held scoreless in the game. Also on Saturday, Cedar Rapids won their return game against Lincoln, 3-1. Vince Mihalek went scoreless for the RoughRiders.

On Sunday, Omaha hosted Indiana and beat the Ice, 3-1. Keir was held without a point, though he was +2 on the night and is now +13 in the Lancers' 8 games.

Cedar Rapids will travel to Chicago on Tuesday to face the Steel. On Friday, Omaha will host Chicago and Des Moines will visit Tri-City.

In BCHL games, Alberni Valley dropped both its games by the score of 4-2. The Bulldogs lost to Burnaby on Saturday and Langley on Sunday. Chris Moulson went scoreless for the 'Dogs. Also on Saturday, Nanaimo defeated Powell River, 3-1. Braden Birch went scoreless for the Clippers, while Michael Garman did not play.

The Clippers will visit Alberni Valley on Tuesday.
