Saturday Update

In early action on Saturday, Binghamton defeated Portland, 1-0, in the Atlantic JHL's early season showcase. The Jr. Sens are 2-0 in the tournament and face the Boston Bulldogs on Sunday morning. Kevin Cole went scoreless in Binghamton's win. The Senators' only goal was scored by Ithacan, Herschell Emerson, who was an AJHL All-Star last season.

In the BCHL, Chris Moulson picked up 2 assists in Alberni Valley's 7-5 loss to Langley. The Bulldogs travel to Nanaimo on Sunday to face the Clippers.

In the USHL, Omaha defeated Sioux Falls, 6-3, with Keir Ross going scoreless. In Cedar Rapids, the RoughRiders won their second game, 3-1, over Indiana, while Vince Mihalek did not play. In Des Moines, Locke Jillson appeared to be in the lineup for the Buccaneers, in a game that was postponed with 16:25 remaining due to poor ice conditions. Tri-City was leading, 2-1, at the time the game was called. It has not been announced yet when that game will be completed.
