Friday Recap

St. Michael's bounced back from their mid-week loss, defeating Pickering, 5-2. Erik Axell picked up an assist for St. Mike's, while Nick D'Agostino did not play.

The Buzzers and Panthers will play again on Sunday.

In the USHL, Omaha lost for the first time this season, falling to Tri-City, 4-2. Keir Ross added an assist for the Lancers.

Des Moines couldn't come all the way back against Sioux City, losing 4-3. Locke Jillson scored his first goal of the season for the Buccaneers.

Cedar Rapids couldn't hang on in their game against Lincoln, falling 5-4 to the Stars. Lincoln got off 50 shots in the game and scored 4 times in the 3rd period for the win. Vince Mihalek scored a goal for the RoughRiders.

In Saturday action, Omaha visits Des Moines and Lincoln visits Cedar Rapids.

Out in British Columbia, Nanaimo came from behind to defeat Cowichan Valley, 5-4. Michael Garman picked up the win and stopped 23 shots. Braden Birch went scoreless in the game for the Clippers.

Alberni Valley fell to Surrey, 5-1. Chris Moulson went scoreless for the Bulldogs.

Nanaimo plays their third consetutive game on Saturday when they visit Powell River. Alberni Valley is also in action on Saturday, traveling to Burnaby.
