Bulldogs Catch Clippers

Nanaimo raced out to a 3-0 lead against Alberni Valley on Thursday but couldn't put the game away. The Bulldogs scored 4 unanswered goals before Nanaimo's Brad McConnell tied the game with his 2nd goal at 11:13 in the 3rd period. Alberni's Josh Pineiro scored on a penalty shot in the 2nd overtime period to win the game.

Chris Moulson picked up 2 assists and was named the game's 3rd-Star. Chris' helpers came on the Bulldogs' 3rd and 4th goals, both on the powerplay, and were his 9th and 10th assists of the season.

Nanaimo's Michael Garman returned after a two-week layoff and apparently was a little rusting, giving up 5 goals on 31 shots. Braden Birch went scoreless in the game for the Clippers.

Nanaimo is back in action on Friday, returning home to host Victoria. Alberni Valley plays host to Salmon Arm on Saturday.
