Nanaimo loses in OT

There are some things twins probably should not do together. Barely a minute into Sunday's game against Alberni Valley Joe Devin was called for hooking. Less than 30 seconds later Mike Devin was sent off for hooking as well. A mere 11 seconds after that and Alberni Valley had a 1-0 lead in a game that would feature runs by both teams. After the 1st period the Bulldogs would have a 2-0 lead. The Clippers would score the next 4 goals to take a 4-2 lead 5 minutes into the 3rd period. Alberni Valley then scored the next 3 goals to take a 5-4 lead with a little more than 3 minutes remaining in the game. Less than a minute later Nanaimo would tie the game and send it into overtime. Alberni Valley's Stephen Pattison would score unassisted at 2:49 to give the Bulldogs the win and hand the Clippers their first loss of the season.

The Clippers will next play on Friday when they host Surrey.

For the season (games, goals, assists, points):
  • Joe: 7-2-2-4
