Silverbacks and Bulldogs Wrap Up Week with Wins

Salmon Arm beat Victoria, 3-2, on Saturday keeping two points ahead of Penticton in the BCHL's Interior Division race. Brendon Nash went pointless in the game, though picking up his 68th and 69th penalty minutes on the season.

Sunday's big game saw Alberni Valley beat Merritt, 3-2, in overtime, to push their Island Division lead to 4 points over second place Nanaimo. Joe Scali was kept off the scoreboard by Brad Thiessen, who was named the game's 2nd-Star for his 45-save performance. Thiessen also helped keep the Bulldogs' power play in check limiting the unit to one goal in 11 sets.
