Saints Surrender to Oil Barons

Monday night saw the Fort McMurray Oil Barons travel to Spruce Grove to face the surging Saints in a showdown for the right to a first round bye in the upcoming Alberta Junior Hockey League playoffs. For fans of Spruce Grove the game might better be forgotten as the Oil Barons skated to a 5-1 victory. Fort McMurray came into the game ranked #8 in the Canadian Junior A Hockey Leagues' national rankings and are the only team in the Alberta JHL to be ranked in the top-15.

Ben Scrivens continued his recent struggles while giving up 3 goals on 12 shots. Ben played 15:48 in the game. Spruce Grove next travels to Fort Saskatchewan on Friday.

As the season winds down BRP's best wishes go out to Ben and his teammates for the upcoming playoffs.
