CHris Heisenberg is reporting the Cody Goloubef is rumored to be deciding this week between Boston University and the University of Wisconsin. Although Wisconsin was not on Cody's original list of schools he took an unofficial visit to Madison, as updated here on Feburary 1st, and must have liked what he saw. If Cody joins the Badgers he will be joining an impressive group of players already committed for 2007.
Cody (6', 175), Oakville, ON, is a member of the Milton Icehawks, who are currently ranked #1 in the Canadian Junior A Hockey League's National Rankings. The 16-year old defensiveman was a member of the U17 Ontario team that participated in the Under 17 World Challenge. He's currently ranked the #2 prospect in Ontario for 2007, behind Brendan Smith (already committed to Wisconsin and a former junior mate of Goloubef in Toronto). Cody reportedly also looked at Cornell, Maine, New Hampshire, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Miami (OH). It should also be noted that Cody's Ontario Hockey League's rights are held by the Sarnia Sting, so that remains an option for him in the upcoming year.
