Gallagher Warms Up the Hounds

After scoring 2 goals and adding 4 assists in Notre Dame's week ending games against Humboldt and Weyburn, Blake Gallagher was a runner-up for the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's Player of the Week honor. Blake was beaten out for the award by fellow Hound Wahsontio Stacey. Stacey, who's having a wonderful Rookie year in the SJHL, would have made a nice addition to the Big Red if for no other reason than having a name worthy of its own Faithful Cheer (Stacey is headed to the University of Minnesota, Duluth in 2007).

Blake continues to lead all SJHL Rookies in goals scored, and has picked up at least one point in 11 of his last 12 games.

Season: Games, Goals, Assists, Points
53 - 27 - 24 - 51 (includes all games)

Stacey is headed to Minnesota-Duluth for 2007, so it's unlikely that he'd end up at Cornell.

Adam, again, belatedly, you're welcome -- it's been a lot of fun.

Philip, boy how things change, eh. Still, gotta love that name.
