Weekend Recap: 2006 Class

Tony Romano played two games for the NY Bobcats, who are currently in 2nd place in the AJHL, and continued his torrid pace with a 7 point weekend (4 goals, 3 assists). For the season, Tony has 22 goals and 15 assists in his 14 league games.

The Nanaimo Clippers, 1st place in the Island Division, have done a lot of things right thus far in their season. A big reason why has been the play of Colin Greening who leads the Clippers in scoring (21-9-17-26) after picking up 4 goals and one assist in his 3 games this weekend. Colin also leads the Clippers with 6 powerplay goals.

Right behind the Clippers in the Island Division is Alberni Valley. In the Bulldogs 3 games this weekend, Joe Scali picked up a goal and an assist. Joe is currently 4th on the team in scoring (22-13-8-21), though he leads all Bulldogs with 2 short-handed goals.

Brendon Nash played in 2 of Salmon Arm's 3 games this weekend, picking up one assist. Brendon (15-2-10-12) has cooled somewhat after a strong start, in part due to a shoulder injury suffered a few weeks ago.

Blake Gallagher continues to cool down after his prolific start. Blake went scoreless in his 2 games, one for the Notre Dame Hounds and one for the Hounds AAA team in the SMAAAHL. Blake is still at 13 goals and 2 assists in his 16 games with the Hounds, who are in 2nd place in the SJHL's Sherwood Division.

Justin Milo also continues to struggle with the Indiana Ice. Justin went scoreless in the Ice's 2 games and is currently tied for 3rd on the team in scoring (12-3-6-9). Justin has certainly been getting off his shots, putting up another 9 this weekend.
